Station Eleven Trailer: Mackenzie Davis Stars in HBO Max Miniseries

HBO Max has dropped the Station Eleven trailer for the upcoming limited series adaptation of the acclaimed sci-fi drama novel of the same name. The series is scheduled to make its debut on Thursday, December 16.

The video gives us a new look into the post-apocalyptic saga that will center around multiple survivors of a devastating flu. It also highlights how the story will go back-and-forth between the beginning of the pandemic and the years after it happened.

Based on the 2014 novel by Emily St. John Mandel, Station Eleven is written, created, and executive produced by Maniac creator Patrick Somerville, who is also serving as the showrunner. The 10-episode drama stars Mackenzie Davis, Himesh Patel, Daniel Zovatto, David Wilmot, Matilda Lawler, Philippine Velge, Nabhaan Rizwan, and Lori Petty, with Gael Garcìa Bernal and Danielle Deadwyler to recur.

“A post-apocalyptic saga spanning multiple timelines, this limited drama series tells the stories of survivors of a devastating flu as they attempt to rebuild and reimagine the world anew while holding on to the best of what’s been lost,” reads the official synopsis.

Station Eleven is a production by Paramount Television. It is directed by Atlanta‘s Hiro Murai and Jeremy Podeswa, who are both executive producing the project with Scott Steindorff, Scott Delman, Dylan Russell, Jessica Rhoades, Nate Matteson, and Nick Cuse. Joining Murai and Podeswar as directors are Helen Shaver, and Lucy Tcherniak.
