New Line Takes Blumhouse Productions’ Superstition

New Line has secured the rights to an upcoming Blumhouse Productions project called Superstition, says a story today at The Hollywood Reporter.

Likened to 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, Superstition is a “found footage” story set at a high school. Already completed with a cast of unknowns on a micro-budget, Superstition is directed by Chris Lofing and Travis Cluff. Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner and Dean Schnider are producing through Film 360 alongside Blum and Ben Forkner. Blumhouse’s Couper Samuelson is executive producing.

Superstition is being targeted for a 2016 release.
