HBO has released the full trailer for the long-awaited third season of the acclaimed drama Succession, starring Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, and Alan Ruck as members of the wealthy and complicated Roy family. The series is scheduled to make its return on October 17.
The Succession Season 3 trailer, which you can check out below, begins with the aftermath following Kendall’s major betrayal during the last season’s finale, when he decided to reveal incriminating facts against his father. It also highlights the impending familial war within the Roys as the company’s future is at stake. The video also gave us a preview of the upcoming appearances from Adrien Brody and Alexander Skarsgård.

Succession follows the story of the Roy family – Logan Roy (Cox) and his four children – who control one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates in the world. The series tracks their lives as they contemplate what the future will hold for them once their aging father begins to step back from the company.
“In Season 3, ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy begins Season three in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances,” reads the official logline. “Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.”
