Netflix has released the full Clickbait trailer for their upcoming limited series, starring Adrian Grenier as a man who gets abducted and forced to confess online the bad things he may or may not did. The video also features his family as they struggle to find him before it’s too late, while dealing with the possible harsh reality that he might not be the person they think he is. The series is scheduled to make its debut on August 25.
The video, which you can check out below, begins with a YouTube video of a man who has been abducted and forced to confess that he’s abusive towards women. Whether his confession is true or not, his family must quickly find a way to save him before the video gains 5 million views, which will trigger his death.

Soon after, a video appears on the internet of the badly beaten Nick holding a card that says ‘I abuse women. At 5 million views, I die.’ Is this a threat or confession? Or both? As his sister and wife rush to find and save him, they uncover a side of Nick they didn’t know existed.
The eight-episode limited series is a compelling, high-stakes thriller that explores the ways in which our most dangerous and uncontrolled impulses are fueled in the age of social media, revealing the ever-widening fractures we find between our virtual and real-life personas.”
