Lionsgate dropped the first The Protégé trailer for its upcoming assassin thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson, Maggie Q, and Michael Keaton. The revenge film was previously known as The Asset and is set to release on August 20, 2021. The film sees Jackson’s character Moody, a legendary assassin, get killed band his protégé Anna (Q) looking to avenge his death.

Jackson) and trained in the family business, Anna (Maggie Q) is the world’s most skilled contract killer.
