This Friday, the front door opens to A Haunted House 2, the big screen followup to last year’s box office hit, which grossed more than $40 million domestically on a $2.5 million budget. Marlon Wayans is back as star, producer and co-writer (with Rick Alvarez) for the horror/comedy mash-up, welcoming back stars like Essence Atkins, Affion Crockett and Cedric the Entertainer with new cast members that include Jaime Pressly, Ashley Rickards, Gabriel Iglesias and Missi Pyle.
Beginning just moments after the end of A Haunted House, the new comedy immediately jumps forward a year to find Wayans’ Malcolm moving into a new house with his new girlfriend (Pressly) and her two kids. It’s not long, though, before sinister forces are up to their old tricks and Malcolm’s fascination with filming absolutely everything turns the entire affair into a lampoon of the “found footage” genre.
ComingSoon.net sat down with Wayans, Pressly and Rickards to discuss the supernatural comedy, which pokes fun at recent horror films like Paranormal Activity and The Conjuring. Check it out in the player below and catch A Haunted House 2 in theaters this Friday, April 18.
