On the heels of this morning’s announcement that the action film would be coming out two weeks late, Guy Ritchie has taken to Twitter to unveil the first poster for his latest collaboration with Jason Statham, Wrath of Man, and announce the trailer is set to arrive on Monday! The poster can be viewed below!
Based on the 2004 French film titled Le Convoyeur or Cash Truck, the film follows H, a cold and mysterious employee of a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week. Shifting across timelines and various characters’ perspectives, the film weaves a suspenseful and carefully-constructed narrative.
Alongside Statham, the ensemble roster for the film includes Josh Hartnett (Inherit the Viper), Scott Eastwood (The Fate of the Furious), Holt McCallany (Mindhunter), Jeffrey Donovan (Let Him Go), Laz Alonso (The Boys), Raul Castillo (Army of the Dead), Niamh Algar (Censor) and Post Malone (Spenser Confidential). This project marks the latest collaboration between Ritchie and Statham, who have previously worked together on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, and Revolver.
Wrath of Man is written and directed by Guy Ritchie, who is currently in production with both Statham and Hartnett for the upcoming global spy film Five Eyes. The film is produced by Ivan Atkinson, Bill Block and Andrew Golov. Miramax acquired remake rights to the 2004 original French movie Le Convoyeur from StudioCanal for the project.
