This Friday, Paramount Pictures is relaunching Tom Clancy’s literary hero on the big screen. In the new film, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit director Kenneth Branagh (who also stars) depicts the early years of Ryan with Chris Pine stepping into the role previously played by Alec Baldwin in The Hunt for Red October, by Harrison Ford in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, and by Ben Affleck in The Sum of All Fears.
ComingSoon.net sat down to talk with Branagh and Pine about the film and the franchise (one Pine says he has been a fan of for a long time) and how Shadow Recruit reintroduces Ryan for a new generation.
