Comingsoon.net is introducing a new feature called CS Movie Day Planner, where we pick a movie and list all the activities the main character did in a single day. Check out Ferris Bueller’s day in the gallery below!

Many of us around the world have the day off. Our circumstances are less than appealing but we must stay optimistic. John Hughes’ character, Ferris Bueller from the 1986 classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, is one of the most optimistic personas to ever grace the screen. The guy can handle anything. He epitomizes what it means to be alive and free—missing 9 days of school not to slack off, watch television or play video games, but to live and embrace the world he lives in.
We can’t do that last part right now but we can live vicariously through Ferris. Faking sick may not be the most appropriate way to acquire some free time (especially during a global pandemic); however, the day Bueller had in 1986 is that of legend. It’s not just about what he did but how he did it: liberating his best friend Cameron and spending time with the girl he loved. Most of the quotes in the following list are by Ferris as we follow his POV (unless stated otherwise). With Ferris-like tenacity, we’ve done our best to honor the schedule of the greatest day off of all-time (but it’s also a movie so suspend your disbelief a little).
