Jason Blum and “Fast & Furious” franchise writer Chris Morgan are teaming to produce a low-budget sci-fi movie, says The Hollywood Reporter. Chris Denham will write the script.
According to the trade, “the story centers on a group of students who invent a new technology with ramifications that go far beyond their control.”
Universal Pictures may distribute the project, as both Blum’s Blumhouse and Morgan’s Chris Morgan Productions have first-look deals with the studio.
