The Television Academy today announced nominations for the 70th Emmy Awards from the Wolf Theatre at the Television Academy’s Saban Media Center. Actors Samira Wiley (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist) were joined by Television Academy Chairman and CEO Hayma Washington at the nominations ceremony.
The 70th Emmy Awards will telecast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Monday, September 17 from 8-11 p.m. ET on NBC. Saturday Night Live‘s “Weekend Update” anchors Michael Che and Colin Jost will host the event produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Lorne Michaels who returns to executive produce, his first time since 1988.
