Starz today announced the series development of Trapped in association with Mila Kunis’ Orchard Farm Productions with Kunis (Black Swan, Ted, “Family Guy,” Jupiter Ascending) serving as Executive Producer alongside Rob Zombie (House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween), who will also direct. Susan Curtis, Cami Curtis and Lisa Sterbakov of Orchard Farm Productions will also executive produce.
Created and written by Joey Slamon (“Arrested Development”) and produced in association with Orchard Farm Productions, the half-hour horror comedy series Trapped takes places over a single night in the home of a wealthy family under attack by a murderous cult.
“We’re excited to work in partnership with Rob Zombie as well as Mila Kunis and her Orchard Farm Productions associates Susan Curtis, Cami Curtis and Lisa Sterbakov on this horror comedy series,” said Starz Managing Director Carmi Zlotnik.
Starz retains all domestic and international multiplatform rights including television, home entertainment, and digital.
Orchard Farm Productions focuses on developing and producing television projects for broadcast and cable. Kunis teamed up with Susan Curtis, Cami Curtis and Lisa Sterbakov to launch Orchard Farm Productions last year.
Mila Kunis is lending her voice to another comedy-horror project in the animated Hell and Back opening October 2, while Zombie is finishing up his next directorial effort 31, an evil clown movie due out next year.
