Darth Vader is a One-Man Fleet in a New Star Wars Rebels Clip!

A new clip from this Saturday’s hour-long season two premiere of “Star Wars Rebels” has arrived and it features the return of one of cinema’s most iconic villains! James Earl Jones will be reprising his role in the episode, but there is, sadly, no Darth Vader dialogue in the clip. You can, however, watch as the Dark Lord of the Sith shows off some fancy flying. He even tries spinning which, as we know from The Phantom Menace, is a good trick! Also just released is a new behind-the-scenes featurette that looks at what’s going on in season two of the officially-in-canon series. Check both videos out in the players below!

Continuing the epic tradition of the legendary “Star Wars” saga, “Star Wars Rebels” unfolds between the events of Star Wars: Episodes III and IV and tells the story of the motley but clever crew of the starship Ghost who together face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries and embark on thrilling adventures. In its second season, “Star Wars Rebels” will feature recurring appearances by fan-favorite characters including Darth Vader and Ahsoka Tano with Ashlecky Eckstein also returning to voice the “Clone Wars” character. Dee Bradley Baker will also return this season as Captain Rex (as well as Gregor and Wolffe).

The cast for the series is made up of Freddie Prinze, Jr. as Kanan, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, Tiya Sircar as Sabine, Steve Blum as Zeb, and Taylor Gray Ezra. In addition, the series has brought back a number of classic characters with Stephen Stanton voicing Grand Moff Tarkin (played by Peter Cushing in the original film) along with Phil LaMarr as Bail Organa and other original actors for some characters including Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, Frank Oz as Yoda, and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO.

Season two of “Star Wars Rebels” premieres at 9:00pm ET/PT on Saturday, June 20 on Disney XD with a special episode, “The Siege of Lothal.”
