From creator, writer and star Will Forte and executive producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller (the pair behind last year’s big screen hits 22 Jump Street and The LEGO Movie) comes “The Last Man on Earth,” a new series set to premiere on FOX March 1st at 9:00pm ET/PT. Following last year’s trailer, the series has released a new TV spot, which you can check out in the player below.
A post-apocalyptic comedy, “The Last Man on Earth” premieres with a special one-hour event of back-to-back episodes Sunday, March 1 at 9:00pm. It will then move into its regular time period the following week on Sunday, March 8 at 9:30pm. Executive-produced, created by and starring Forte (Nebraska, “Saturday Night Live”), and executive-produced and directed by Lord and Miller, the single-camera comedy chronicles the life and adventures of an average guy – and humanity’s last hope – who discovers what life is like when no one is telling you what you can and cannot do.
Although it has not been revealed in exactly what capacity they will be appearing, “The Last Man on Earth” will co-star January Jones (“Mad Men,” X-Men: First Class) and will also feature Kristen Schaal (Toy Story 3, “30 Rock”), Mel Rodriguez (“Getting On, “Enlisted”) and Cleopatra Coleman (Step Up Revolution, “Wicked Science”).
