20th Century Fox‘s Deadpool 2 opened in domestic theaters last night and broke the Thursday previews record with $18.6 million, surpassing the the previous mark of $13.5 million set by IT last September. Deadpool 2 is expected to earn anywhere from $130 to $150 million in North America this weekend.
The original film opened to $132.4 million in February of 2016 and went on to gross $363 million domestically and $783 million worldwide.
