New Poster for A24’s A Ghost Story, Starring Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara

A new poster has been released for A24’s A Ghost Story with a new trailer coming tomorrow

A24 tweeted a brand-new poster for the upcoming horror film A Ghost Story starring Casey Affleck (Manchester By the Sea, Gone Baby Gone) and Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network) today. The tweet also let us know that we’re getting a new trailer for the film tomorrow. A Ghost Story is directed by David Lowery (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Pete’s Dragon), who also wrote the script for the film. Here is the official synopsis for the film: A ghost (Casey Affleck) silently observes his grieving widow (Rooney Mara) in his beloved home. 

Affleck reportedly wears a sheet for most of the film, and it was shot almost entirely in a single house. The characters are identified only as C (Affleck) and M (Mara) in the end credits. A Ghost Story premiered on January 22, 2017 at the Sundance Film Festival to largely positive reviews.

Principal photography for the film took place in July and August in Dallas, Texas, finishing in September 2016. A Ghost Story also stars McColm Sephas Jr., Kenneisha Thompson, Grover Coulson, Liz Cardenas Franke and Barlow Jacobs. The film is produced by Sailor Bear, Zero Trans Fat Productions, Ideaman Studios and Scared Sheetless.
