Netflix’s upcoming comedy Little Evil has cast Adam Scott (“Parks and Recreation,” Hot Tub Time Machine 2) and Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man, “Lost”) to star. They are set to join the already-cast Owen Atlas, Bridget Everett, Clancy Brown, Donald Faison, Chris D’Elia, Brad Williams, Marcus Terrell Smith and Tyler Labine.
Originally announced in 2013 at Universal Pictures, Little Evil is written and directed by Tucker and Dale vs. Evil helmer Eli Craig. The story follows Gary (Scott), who has just married the woman of his dreams, Samantha (Lilly), only to find out her six-year-old son (Atlas) may be the Antichrist.
Scott Stuber’s Bluegrass Films has partnered with Netflix for the film, with Stuber producing alongside Jason Michael Berman and Dylan Clark. Nicholas Nesbitt and Mark Moran have signed on to executive produce.
Scott recently wrapped the David E. Kelly-penned HBO series “Big Little Lies” starring Laura Dern, Alexander Skarsgard, and Nicole Kidman. Meanwhile, Lilly is set to reprise her role as Hope van Dyne in the 2018 sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp.
