Suicide Squad Tracking for $125 million Debut
The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Suicide Squad is on track for a massive opening weekend, with early tracking putting the film at a $125 million debut. With three weeks to go before the film is officially released though, there is still a chance for fluctuation in either direction. Should the Suicide Squad tracking be accurate, it will come in just behind Deadpool‘s $132 million opening weekend but far head of X-Men: Apocalypse‘s $65 million debut. Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy opened on a similar date in early August of 2014 with $94.3 million its first weekend. Advance tickets for Warner Bros. Pictures‘ Suicide Squad will go on sale Friday, July 15.

However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
