Who will be the Justice League Dark director?
Following the casting rumor for the main team that popped up earlier this week, JoBlo is now reporting on the director shortlist for Warner Bros. upcoming Justice League Dark film which they say includes the duo behind Big Bad Wolves, Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, plus Fede Alvarez, who previously helmed the Evil Dead remake in 2013.
In addition, a new rumor from Heroic Hollywood points to more casting news for the film, namely that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story star Ben Mendelsohn is being eyed for the film’s primary villain, Anton Arcane. Check back for more details on the film as we learn them.
Featuring a script by fan favorite Guillermo del Toro, Justice League Dark is set to feature the combined efforts of DC’s mystical and weirdest heroes. Among the characters that will appear in the film are John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, The Demon Etrigan, and Madame Xanadu.
No official announcements have been made on the film, which is known as both Justice League Dark and Dark Universe, but producer Scott Rudin has come aboard the project and the studio is reportedly eager to begin production early next year.
