Universal and Legendary have released a new picture of Mia Wasikowska in Guillermo del Toro‘s upcoming supernatural thriller Crimson Peak in which Wasikowska plays an aspiring author torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. We meet her in the wake of a family tragedy as she’s trying to escape the ghosts of her past, and is eventually swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds… and remembers.
Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam and Tom Hiddleston co-star in the film that will be hitting theaters on Oct. 16. A new trailer drops tomorrow.
