Watch: Thomas Jane Takes Out Dirty Laundry in a ‘Punisher’ Short Fan Film

I know it’s not really fair to complain about a short film made clearly by a fan, so don’t take this too seriously, but I just wish Thomas Jane and his collaborators — which include Adi Shankar, Chad St. John, Phil Joanou and Ron Perlman — hadn’t scored this Punisher short, titled “Dirty Laundry,” to Hans Zimmer’s The Dark Knight score. Especially in the opening moments when the short’s villain comes rolling up with music playing from his car stereo.

Besides that small quibble, this is a solid little piece of entertainment for fans of the Marvel character as Jane proves he’s a true fan of the character he played in the 2004 film only to be replaced by Ray Stevenson when Lionsgate attempted to remake it back in 2008.

Jane is quoted on YouTube saying, “I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in — a love letter to Frank Castle and his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.”

Check the short out below, it’s only ten minutes and contains plenty of blood, violence and swearing to certainly make it not safe for work.
