As was already revealed with the debut of the film’s first trailer back in July, the latest adventure will see world’s favorite sea dwelling invertebrate come ashore to our world for his most super-heroic adventure yet. As such, the colorful residents of Bikini Bottom are set to take on superhero alter-egos.
Based on the hit animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water is the second feature film to focus on the character after 2004’s The SpongeBob Movie. That film featured celebrity guest stars like Scarlett Johansson, Jeffrey Tambor, Alec Baldwin and David Hasselhoff.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water stars Antonio Banderas, Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence and Douglas Lawrence. Directed by Paul Tibbitt, the film hits theaters on February 6, 2015.
