Dimension Films has secured its director and star for Amityville, the new film about that famous Long Island abode that inspired “The Amityville Horror” novel and the films that came out in its wake.
The next entry in the long-running series hits theaters on January 2, 2015 and both Bloody-Disgusting and TheWrap are reporting Franck Khalfoun of P2 and Maniac is set to helm.
Khalfoun took last year to shoot i-Lived, a thriller he penned starring Sarah Power.
Amityville has scrapped the Amityville: The Lost Tapes idea and team. There’s been no word yet as to who penned the script they’re currently using. Blumhouse Productions is co-producing.
Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bella Thorne are reportedly attached to star. The former will play a mother who lives in the infamous house. You can guess what happens from there.
