Credit: Emil MitevExcerpt from page 17:"I think what makes this movie stand out is the very original tone. It's a buddy, friendship tale, but it's also a science fiction movie to a large extent. It's also a great comedy. One thing that makes our movies at DreamWorks really special is the fact that they're all different from each other. Each time we explore an entirely new imagined world. There's nothing conventional about them."—Mike Trull, Head of Final Layout -

The Art of Home
Concept art of the city.
Excerpt from page 82
Our heroes' journey begins in a midwestern city, where Tip and her mom lived before the alien invasion. It's a little Bostonian convenience store that Tip and Oh meet for the first time. The DreamWorks team used Midwestern urban architecture as a template for the city, incorporating a mixture of shapes and the juxtaposition of buildings new and old. And when the Boov take over, they bring their fondness for spherical shapes to the city. -
