Eli Roth’s History of Horror Season 2 Teaser Previews October Return

AMC has released the official trailer for the upcoming second season of their horror documentary series Eli Roth’s History of Horror as the new season explores witches, hell houses, body horror and more. The series is scheduled to make its return on Saturday, October 10. Check out the video in the player below along with Season 2’s talent teaser!

In season two of Eli Roth‘s History of Horror,  the series will now be featuring episodes focusing on monsters, evil children, witches, body horror, houses of hell, and Eli’s Terrifying Twelve. It will even deeper into the catacombs of creepiness, exhuming landmark films, and cult classics while chewing on the entrails of recent horror cinema. The series explores the dark power and wicked fun of scary movies, the craft that went into making them, and the ways that horror films reflect the anxieties of their times. The story is told by Eli Roth and a celebrated cast of writers, directors, actors, cinematographers, composers, and special effects artists who bring our nightmares to life.

This season will feature new celebrity guests including Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body), Ari Aster (Midsommar), James Brolin (The Amityville Horror), Piper Laurie (Carrie), Bill Hader (It: Chapter 2), Nancy Allen (Dressed to Kill), Katharine Isabelle (Freddie vs. Jason),  Rachel True (The Craft), Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser films), and Roger Corman (The Silence of the Lambs) as well as returning interviewees Stephen King, Quentin Tarantino, Jordan Peele, Greg Nicotero, Edgar Wright, Leonard Maltin, Slash, Joe Dante, Jack Black, Mary Harron, Tom Savini, Karyn Kusama, John Landis, and many others.

The first season featured interviews from A-list storytellers and Horror film icons such as Stephen King, Quentin Tarantino, Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us), Jason Blum (Blumhouse Productions), Robert Englund, Linda Blair, Tippi Hedren, Rob Zombie, Haley Joel Osment, Jack Black, John Landis, Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween), Elijah Wood, Slash, Catherine Hardwicke, Norman Reedus and many more.

Eli Roth’s History of Horror is executive produced by Roth, Kurt Sayenga, Steven Michaels, Jonathan Koch, Joseph Freed, and Allison Berkley. Roth’s notable horror film credits include Cabin Fever, Hostel, Grindhouse: Thanksgiving, The Last Exorcism, Green Inferno, Knock Knock, and Clown.
