Rise of Skywalker Content Coming to Star Wars Battlefront II Celebration Edition

It may have had a rocky start out the gate two years ago, but Star Wars Battlefront II has enjoyed a strong run across all consoles and now EA and DICE have announced a Celebration Edition that will feature a complete collection of the customization content from its in-game purchases as well as content from the upcoming Rise of Skywalker (via VitalThrills)!

The Celebration Edition will include the base game, all past and upcoming free game updates as they release, more than 25 Hero Appearances, including six Legendary Appearances and one appearance each for Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren based on their Rise of Skywalker appearances. The edition will also include more than 125 Trooper and Reinforcement Appearances, more than 100 Hero and Trooper Emotes and Voice Lines and more than 70 Hero and Trooper Victory Poses.

For those who already own a different version of the game, they can upgrade to the Celebration Edition for a discounted $24.99 and get all the items mentioned above and offers players a chance to partake in battles across all three Star Wars eras, from the Clone Wars to the nostalgic original trilogy to the finale of the Skywalker Saga.

The new Rise of Skywalker content will also include the new location of the jungle planet featured in the last full trailer for the film, new reinforcements, and Hero Appearances. Players will choose from playing as the Resistance or First Order as the conflict spreads to the tropical paradise and will be available in Heroes vs. Villains. Other locations from the sequel trilogy joining the co-op mode will also include Takodana, Jakku and Starkiller Base.

The Celebration Edition will hit shelves on December 5 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with the Rise of Skywalker content coming on December 17 and more content coming in January.
