We’re kicking the week with two exclusive clips. In the top player below, you can take a look behind the scenes of this week’s The Comedian. Then, just below that, you can explore the world of TNT‘s The Last Ship as the show’s third season comes to Blu-ray and DVD.

Other recent big screen releases coming to Blu-ray and DVD this week include the animal drama A Dog’s Purpose, the horror franchise sequel Rings and Stephen Gaghan’s Gold, starring Matthew McConaughey and Edgar Ramirez. Other recent releases coming to Blu-ray and DVD this week include the sci-fi thriller MindGamers, the Academy Award-winning Iranian drama The Salesman and the Christian comedy The Resurrection of Gavin Stone, starring Agents of SHIELD‘s Brett Dalton. Rounding out the list is the recent documentary I Am Not Your Negro and Studio Ghibli’s latest, The Red Turtle.

Saturday Night Fever gets a 40th anniversary rerelease this week. The new edition boasts a 4K transfer supervised by director John Badham and a host of special features.

Hitting only DVD this week is the acclaimed Korean survival drama The Tunnel as well as the action thriller The Shadow Effect, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Michael Biehn and Cam Gigandet. 

Cinephiles have another treat from Warner Archive, too, as the MOD label finally brings to Blu-ray John Frankenheimer’s 1964 political thriller Seven Days in May.

Shout! Factory this week delivers a pair of IFC Midnight horror thrillers with both The Autopsy of Jane Doe (from Trollhunters‘ André Øvredal) and the ’80s throwback Beyond the Gates. The company is also this week bringing to Blu-ray the 1999 horror thriller Virus. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, the film was based on a 1992 miniseries from Dark Horse Comics.

May 2 brings two complete series to DVD this week. Look for boxed sets of both Michael Mann’s late ’70s crime drama Vegas and for the recent sci-fi drama The 4400.

A trio of 4K upgrades hit May 2. Look for new versions of James Mangold’s western remake 3:10 to Yuma and for franchise ensembles The Expendables and The Expendables 2.

Digital HD titles hitting this week include the science fiction coming-of-age drama The Space Between Us, the franchise action sequels Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, and for the recent hit HBO miniseries Big Little Lies.
